Yahoo ends www.gmail.com put-in “Xoopit”
Yahoo announced that it will cancel the support for www.gmail.com put-in “Xoopit”. Xoopit was purchased by Yahoo this July. Xoopit gave an explanation for users that, we official declare from November, 13th, 2009, we will close Xoopit for gmail.com and put energy into making My Photos for Yahoo! Mail, to provide Yahoo! Mail better experience.
Xoopit is not only in support of Gmail, but also Yahoo! Mail, especially on the function of integrating My Photos. As to Gmail, it can establish a special view to indicate latest Picture attachments. You will don’t have to search the mail one by one.
It seems that obviously Yahoo purchased Xoopit, which is aimed at hitting opponent and building up itself. It can not only end up the support for Gmail but strengthen Yahoo! Mail. That’s really to achieve two things at one stroke.
